As I said, I don’t want to say they’re a “hit or miss” developer, but here we are. If we consider the modern string of mainline Total War games, their quality jumps pretty clearly up and down. I don’t want to say The Creative Assembly are a “hit or miss” developer, but with Total War: Rome II now in our hands I’m starting to think that might be the case.
